Do you take insurance?
I am currently on one insurance panel - Concern EAP. If you have a different benefit it may be worth a call to your insurance company to inquire about "out-of-network" benefits. Depending on your benefits, some out-of-network reimbursement rates are equivalent to an in-network copay. I am happy to provide an invoice for out-of-network reimbursement.
What are your fees?
My fee for a 50-minute session is $140. In the spirit of making therapy more affordable to a larger clientele, I offer a few sliding scale slots for individual clients. I do not offer sliding scale for couples.
Are you accepting new clients?
Yes, I have one evening, full-fee slot available as of February 2019. Currently my sliding scale slots are full.
What are your hours?
Monday through Thursday from 12pm to 7pm. I do not offer weekend appointments.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Personal checks, cash and debit / credit / FSA / HSA via IvyPay or Square.
What is the best way to contact you?
Please call (415) 375-0414 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
What is your cancellation policy?
I have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Rarely am I able to fill a cancelled session unless I know at least 24 hours ahead of time. If you are unable to provide at least 24 hours notice, I charge your agreed upon rate for your missed session. Please note that insurance companies do not reimburse for missed appointments.
Do you prescribe medication?
I am not a psychiatrist or medical doctor and cannot prescribe medication. If you want to explore medication options, I have a network of providers I can recommend, including Naturopathic Medicine.
Do you offer phone or video sessions?
Yes, I offer both phone and video sessions aka Telehealth. Because my license is state specific, I can only offer Telehealth to California residents. For video sessions I use a HIPAA-compliant platform called VSee, which is free and simple to download.
