I offer clinical supervision to AMFTs and ASWs placed in school and/or agency settings. I offer both remote supervision by way of Zoom and in person supervision at my Benicia office Mondays and Wednesdays. I do not offer a private practice internship at this time.
I began my interning journey in 2005 and opened a private practice in 2013. I have supervised groups of interns at Liberation Institute in San Francisco and individually within my private practice. My clinical supervision credentials are up to date and meet the Board's requirements.
Over the years I have had a number of wonderful supervisors and enjoy giving back to interns. My approach is humanistic, solution-focused and mindfully based. I believe in treating people with dignity and fairness, and provide a lot of room for interns to find their own path.
In addition to case consultation, you'll learn the following:
- Multi-axial assessments
- Short- and long-term treatment planning
- Navigating the DSM-V
- Different ways to start a private practice
- Transference and countertransference
- Managing burnout
- Setting boundaries
- Informed consent
- Building rapport
- Trauma-informed individual, couples and family interventions
- How to write effective progress notes
Please reach out if you have questions. Interning is not for the faint of heart. I look forward to learning how I can support you in your journey.
