Therapy for Individuals

Addiction and Escapism: I utilize abstinence, harm reduction and 12-step methods in my practice. I view addiction to substances, behaviors and/or people as ways to find self-soothing that often cause more harm than good. Behavior change is possible.
Dysfunctional Family Roles and cPTSD: The perfect family does not exist and there are varying degrees of family dysfunction. Within that dysfunction lies ineffective ways of resolving conflict, relating to others and how we view ourselves. It's possible to change those relationships and learn more appropriate ways of adapting to the world, your relationships and especially the relationship with yourself.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing): An effective technique to help a person move through trauma (simple or complex - Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), better manage general anxiety or reduce substance abuse.
Life Transitions: Transitions are unavoidable but manageable with a safe place to process your experience. Learn how to use your internal resources to manage life's unavoidable stressors.

Anxiety and Depression: They're often connected with one another. Anxiety focuses on the future, depression focuses on the past. Together they can create an exhausting emotional divide. Learn how to manage these emotions and perspectives in an effective, natural way.
